Privacy policy

1. Identity of the Data Controller

The company MAT & SEB GROUPE, with share capital of €176,600, registered under number 439 723 974, and headquartered at 1, rue Saint-Paul, 34000 Montpellier (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), acts both on its own behalf and on behalf of the companies within its group.

2. Terminology

User: Any individual using the services or visiting the website of the Company, whether as a client or a simple visitor.
Website: Refers to the Company’s site at mat-seb-immo.com.

3. Data Collection, Conditions and Processing Purposes

The Company collects personal data (name, surname, address, email, phone number, IP address, property photos, etc.) from users browsing, consulting, or entering personal information on the Website in order to access the services.

Data is collected when the User:

  • Subscribes to newsletters or alerts,
  • Submits a contact request or property search/valuation request,
  • Contacts customer service by any available means (email, contact forms, phone),
  • Browses the Website or reads content,
  • Completes any forms or sends correspondence.

Purposes of data processing:

  • Managing business relations (property search, transactions, payments, complaints, etc.),
  • Commercial prospecting (see "Newsletters"),
  • Content personalization and targeted advertising (incl. social media),
  • Sharing data with partners (portals, agencies, networks, contractors, notaries, banks, insurers),

All required fields in forms (excluding optional fields not marked with an asterisk) must be completed.

Data Recipients:

The data is used by the Company and may be shared with partners, law enforcement or judicial authorities (upon legal request), and subcontractors (for database creation, updates, storage, security, etc.).


4. User Rights & Data Protection

Right of Access, Rectification, Deletion & Objection:

Users can access, rectify, or delete their data, or object to its processing by writing to: Mat & Seb Groupe, 1 rue Saint-Paul, 34000 Montpellier Or via the contact form on the website.

Requests must include the user’s full name, postal address, signature, a copy of valid ID, and any contact details for the response. The Company has one month to respond. After this, users may file a complaint with the CNIL.

Right to Data Portability

Users can:

  • Receive their data in a structured format.
  • Request transfer to another data controller (where technically possible).

Data Transfer Outside the EU:

All personal data is stored, hosted, and processed within the European Union.

Data Retention & Right to Be Forgotten:

Data is retained for 5 years after the end of the business relationship, based on the last transaction, contact, or interaction. After this period, data will be anonymized or destroyed, unless kept for legal or contractual reasons.

Users may request data erasure following the same procedures as for access rights.

Post-Mortem Data Instructions:

Users can define, modify, or revoke instructions regarding their personal data after death.

Specific Use Cases

  • Company newsletters - Email alerts: When registering and subsequently when managing their preferences, or depending on the choice of certain services, Users may subscribe to the Company's newsletter or email alerts and thus choose to be informed at regular intervals of the offers available. Users may unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link provided for this purpose at the bottom of each newsletter.
  • SMS/MMS: The Company may use the customer's mobile phone number to communicate offers, requests, and alerts. The customer may opt out of this at any time, simply and free of charge, or unsubscribe from alerts on the Website in the “My Account” section, or via the contact form or by post at the following address: 1, rue Saint-Paul 34000 MONTPELLIER.


5. Cookies

Definition

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, mobile) to help recognize you, facilitate navigation, secure your session, and remember preferences.

Cookies used by the Company are anonymized and do not collect or store personal data.

Disabling Cookies:

Users may disable cookies at any time using the browser settings or by clicking the dedicated button on the site.

However, doing so may prevent access to certain personalized services.

Web Beacons:

The Website may use web beacons to measure page traffic and performance. Data collected is anonymous.

Plugins réseaux sociaux

The Site uses social media plugins such as Facebook and Twitter (hereinafter referred to as “Social Media”). For example, if the User is logged into Facebook while browsing the Site, Facebook may directly link their visit to their Facebook user account even if the User has not used the share button.

If the User interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking on the “Like” button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information will be transmitted and stored on a Facebook server. It will be published on the User's Facebook account.

The Company does not manage the data collected by Social Networks via the buttons. The User should read the personal data protection policy published by the Social Networks concerned in order to find out how the data collected by them is processed and used, as well as the settings available to protect their privacy.

If the User does not want the Social Network to link the information collected through the Company to their Social Network user account, they must log out of the Social Network before visiting the Site.

Security measures taken by the Company to ensure the protection of personal data

The Company implements all appropriate technical measures in accordance with best practices to maintain the integrity, digital and physical security, and confidentiality of data, and in particular to prevent it from being distorted, damaged, or accessed by unauthorized third parties, including through the use of encryption, access codes, firewalls, antivirus software, and any other appropriate technical means.
